AliDropship is a plugin built for WordPress CMS (Content Management System). It means that in order to setup and use the plugin you need to download WP CMS from WordPress.org. AliDropship plugin does not support and can’t be used with WordPress.com platform.

Three important differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com:

  1. WordPress.org is FREE, WordPress.com is $25/month.

WordPress.org is completely free while WordPress.com will cost you $25 per month if you want to create an e-commerce site with it.

2. You own the content on WordPress.org but not on WordPress.com.

You don’t own the content you’re posting with WordPress.com. WordPress.com owns it, thus they can shut it down whenever they want to. On a self-hosted WordPress.org, you’ll own your content and you can even sell it as a website without any permissions.

 3.  WordPress.com is limited, WordPress.org is flexible.

You’ll have no limitations with WordPress.org, meaning you can install/download unlimited plugins and themes (both free and paid). What’s more, you can customize your website as much as you want, and make it completely your own. With this freedom, your website has the potential to reach much higher heights than it ever could on if it was with WordPress.com.
